It points to the cross

The last 3 lines in a show I just watched:
  1. "I'm sorry.
  2. I'm so sorry______.
  3. Please forgive me."

The sophomore class (Class of 2012) are currently off on retreat. They will have opportunity for reconciliation.
  1. "I'm sorry.
  2. I'm so sorry _______.
  3. Please forgive me."

Lent is less than a week away.
  1. "I'm sorry.
  2. I'm so sorry ______.
  3. Please forgive me."

Fill in the blank. Say it often. Don't stop at 1. Don't stop at 2. Go for 3!
  1. Being sorry is merely a starting point.
  2. Admitting remorse face-to-face is humbling.
  3. Asking for forgiveness begins the healing process.

But the last lines in the show did not roll credits.
It was the embrace which marked the new beginning.

Evening prayer in the Magnificat: I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly. (Jn 10:10)

"I'm sorry.
I'm so sorry Jesus.
Please forgive me."
*Embrace*

Blogging - Should I Even Start?

Wow: Gone are the days of locking up your diary and hiding it under your mattress. I don't know if this is a good thing or something I should avoid. Journaling on line? Too exposing. Maybe no one will ever read it! But alas, I've gotten here today, so here I am. Let me just see what this is even going to look like.

Short. Being a mom, I've already got to divert my attention elsewhere. Perhaps another day.

So my 10-year-old daughter showed me how to edit this post. I was clicking all around trying to figure it out, and she said, "Why don't you click on the pencil." Brilliant. It worked. I think I'm on my way. Won't run out of ink, won't run out of room (or will I?), and I can type as fast as I think; I think.

Tomorrow begins Lent. A time of prayerful reflection, sacrifice, and action. Personal enlightenment. What to do? Same ol', or something different?

For now, that's it. Till next time. Toot a loo.
